Retail POS guide
How to choose a retail POS in the UAE
A short checklist for shop owners, from supermarkets to boutiques, so you pick a system that fits how you actually sell.
What a UAE retail POS should do
Start with the daily work. A good retail POS scans barcodes fast, takes split payments, handles returns and discounts, and closes the day with a cash count that matches.
Then look at stock. You should see low-stock and expiry alerts, sizes and colours for fashion, and weighed products for groceries, so you stop finding out an item is finished when a customer asks for it.
Finally, check the paperwork. In the UAE you need VAT-ready reports, receipts in Arabic and English, and sales, profit and stock reports you can export to PDF or Excel for your accountant.
OxPOS is built for this: 1,500 AED, which includes the first year of maintenance, then 500 AED per year. It works on any device.
