How much does a POS system cost in the UAE?
The sticker price is only part of it. Here is what to ask so you can compare systems honestly and avoid surprises in year two.
What to budget for
Ask for the total over three years, not just the first invoice. A one-time setup fee, a yearly renewal and any monthly charges all add up, so put them side by side before you decide.
Then ask what is included. Maintenance, WhatsApp or phone support, moving your items from Excel, VAT reports and Arabic receipts should not be paid extras. Hardware should be a separate, clearly priced choice.
For OxPOS, the price is 1,500 AED, which includes the first year of maintenance. After that the renewal is 500 AED per year. Over three years that comes to 2,500 AED (1,500 plus 500 plus 500), with no hidden costs.
